Kitty’s love of ballet began at a very young age in El Paso Texas with her ballet studies as a young girl. This participation combined with numerous occasions to see visiting companies such as The Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo ingrained a lifelong passion for the art of dance. Through the years Kitty has seen two daughters grow up participating in dance studies. In 1985-1987 Kitty served on the board of The Georgia Ballet of Cobb County during the tenure of the late founder Iris Hensley. During this time she served on several committees organizing fundraising events. From 1991 until 1996 Kitty served on committees with International Ballet Rotaru under the direction of Mr. Pavel Rotaru. During this time Kitty helped organize several successful fundraising events for Ballet Rotaru. She served also as assistant to the renowned Costume Designer Nikolais Dragan of Paris producing costumes for Rotaru’s Romeo and Juliet, Nutcracker and others. In 1997 she co-founded North Atlanta Dance Academy with her husband Michael and in 1998 they together founded North Atlanta Dance Theatre. Kitty has overseen the administration of both NADA and NADT as well as designed and implemented costumes for NADT’s many productions.
